Top Courses in Morocco
Golf du Soleil (Agadir)
A 36-hole complex on the Atlantic coast, featuring the Championship Course and the shorter Tikida Course. The Championship layout winds through eucalyptus trees with stunning mountain views. It’s well-maintained, fair but challenging, and great for groups of mixed ability.
Amelkis Golf Club (Marrakech)
Designed by Cabell Robinson, Amelkis offers 27 holes set against the dramatic backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. The course features immaculate greens, strategic water hazards, and beautiful landscaping. A firm favourite with visiting UK golfers.
Royal Golf Marrakech
One of the oldest courses in Morocco, dating back to 1933. This parkland course is lush, tree-lined, and full of character. It’s played host to kings and heads of state — and the old-world charm is part of the appeal. A must-play for anyone visiting Marrakech.
Assoufid Golf Club (Marrakech)
Designed by Niall Cameron, Assoufid is a newer addition that’s quickly become one of North Africa’s top courses. Set in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, it features dramatic elevation changes, desert landscaping, and panoramic views. A genuine wow-factor course.
Best Time to Visit
Morocco is a year-round golf destination. The best months are October to May, when temperatures sit between 20-28°C — perfect for golf. Summer can be hot (35°C+), especially in Marrakech, though Agadir’s coastal breeze keeps things comfortable. Winter offers mild, sunny conditions ideal for escaping the UK cold.
