Top Courses in Mauritius
Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club
Designed by Bernhard Langer on its own private island, this is one of the most unique golf experiences in the world. You reach the course by speedboat, and every hole offers panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. The layout is championship-quality with wide fairways, strategic bunkers, and fast greens. An absolute must-play.
Tamarina Golf Club
Set in the shadow of Rempart Mountain with the Tamarin River winding through the course, Tamarina is dramatic and beautiful. It’s an 18-hole championship layout that rewards good course management. The mountain backdrop and natural terrain make it one of the most photogenic courses in the Southern Hemisphere.
Heritage Golf Club
Designed by Peter Matkovich, Heritage is an 18-hole championship course set within a UNESCO-recognised nature reserve. It’s home to deer, giant tortoises, and rare birds — you’re literally golfing through a nature reserve. The course itself is immaculate, with challenging holes and stunning coastal views. The adjoining Heritage Le Telfair resort is pure luxury.
Best Time to Visit
Mauritius has a tropical climate, so golf is possible year-round. The best months are May to November (the dry season), with temperatures around 24-28°C and less humidity. September to November is the sweet spot — warm, dry, and less crowded. December to April is warmer and wetter, but still very playable.
